Whether in the Balearic Islands, in the heart of the Greek archipelago or on the picturesque island of Capri, major designers are gearing up for Summer. Spotlight on 4 ephemeral pop ups to drop by for an exotic summer of fashion.
The Chanel pop up in Capri
Looking for an excuse to fly over to the electric blue waters of Capri? Look no further. For the second consecutive year, Chanel has unveiled its ephemeral pop-up at Via Camerelle, the island's chic spot for shopping.
The temporary shop, which will remain open until October 14th, features a cutting edge selection of pieces from the Paris-Hamburg Métiers d'Art 2017-2018 collections and the brand's new Coco Beach line: fine jewelery from the Camélia collection and a selection of Boy.Friend and J12 watches will be on display.
The way to get there is as charming as the pop up itself: the store sits pretty across a lush red brick terrace designed in the Italian spirit of Capri.
Oscar De La Renta in Mykonos
Mykonos seems to be the new hot spot for designers and Oscar de la Renta is the latest creator to settle on the charming island. Following the footsteps of Off-White, Missoni, Gucci and Chanel, the label set up its ephemeral shop on the island, opting however for a setting like no other: Nammos Village.
Echoing Greek architectural style, the space is adorned with whitewashed walls supporting a construction made entirely of stone. Discover the newest tunics, caftans, pants, swimsuits, ponchos and designer sunglasses from the Oscar de la Renta x Morgenthal Frederics collaboration, as well as jewels and accessories from the brand's latest pre-fall, Cruise and Spring-Summer collections.
The Louboutin pop up in Mykonos
If you opted to enjoy the gorgeous setting of this special mediterranean island, you will be thrilled to learn that Christian Louboutin's signature red-soled stilettos await you here to keep your shopping spree going.
Dubbed "Loubi Beach", this new ephemeral boutique opened in collaboration with the high-end boutique Enny di Monaco. Instagram-ready, the space's modern setting is artfully decorated to match the brand's signature red, with clean lines of bright red walls contrasting with a clean white floor, all of which is highlighted by an edgy assemblage of neon lights for a touch of exoticism familiar to the island.
The store will feature the essential parts of the Autumn-Winter 2018-2019 collections.
The Loewe x Paula’s collab' in Ibiza
Strolling in Ibiza this summer? For the fourth summer, Loewe will take up residence on the Balearic Island with its new pop-up, nestled in the heart of the contemporary art museum in the historical district of Dalt Vila.
The store features an artsy mix of pieces from the label's newest collab with the 70's cult brand, Paula's Ibiza. This year, Jonathan Anderson dove into the brand's archives to adorn the brand's IT-bags with a playful series of motifs —birds, mermaids and circus characters among others— imagined by Paula's Ibiza.
Fly over for the shopping, stay for the party!
